All units within this assessor qualification are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. Successful completion of this assessor course enables learners to proceed to the full Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (for which you could gain RPL for 2/3 units and thus only do 1 unit for completion), the Level 4 Certificate in Leading the IQA of Assessment Processes and Practice and the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training. This level 3 assessor course will also help you enhance your career profile and become an apprenticeship assessor (although some centres may request that you have the full CAVA qualification).

This unit help to assess learners using different sources of evidence. This unit covers the areas of assessment planning; judging both performance and providing feedback; making assessment decisions and providing feedback. The assessment skills to be demonstrated are through the assessment of natural performance, simulation, questioning, candidate and peer reports, projects and assignments and assessment of prior achievement and learning.
