This qualification specifically focuses on the core knowledge and skills required for a senior manager in any organisation and is especially useful for those learners who are involved in (or looking to get involved in) investment & risk, business research, audit & assurance, and managing organisational finances.
The qualification is designed to be completed over one academic year of full-time study. However, we provide flexible timing in terms of delivery to accommodate for learners individual schedules and plans. The qualification is delivered through our Virtual Learning environment.
All units within this course are internally verified by our assessors and externally verified by OTHM. This course is criterion-referenced based on the achievement of specific learning outcome’s. To achieve a “PASS” for a unit, a student must complete learning outcomes to meet assessment criteria set by OTHM.
This Level 6 OTHM qualification presents practical skills, knowledge, competences, and capabilities that are comparable in academic terms as being equivalent to Bachelor’s degrees, Bachelor’s degrees with Honours, Graduate Certificates, and Graduates Diplomas.
Successful completion of this course enables learners to get direct entry into OTHM Level 7 Diplomas, including the Level 7 Diploma in Business Management. As this Diploma is regulated and approved by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulations), Learners are also eligible for admission into relevant Master’s degree programmes.

For entry into this course, students must meet the following criteria:
• The relevant level of GCE/GCSE or NQF/QCF/RFQ Level 5 Diploma/Award or equivalent studies. The course is also perfect for learners holding an undergraduate degree in a different subject.
• The student must be 18 or older at the time of enrollment
• Students over 21 years are also advised to have management experience
Learners are expected to have English language proficiency of CEFR Level B2, this can be met in any one the following ways:
• Being a native English language speaker
• Having achieved an IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
• Having had your last two years of schooling in English
• Passing our online English language test
Awarding body fee of £300 is payable by the learner to the awarding organisation within 14 days of starting the course. This will be collected from the learner and passed on to the awarding organisation for registration and certification purposes. The final certification you get is the same, regardless of your route. There are no strict deadlines for submitting individual coursework, allowing you room and flexibility to pace your studies; the only deadline is the overall course duration based on the option you selected above.

The Learner must possess a relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 Award/Diploma or a relevant qualification; The student must also have relevant managerial experience if they are over 21.
Working professionals, those who have completed Level 5 (Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree), and learners seeking career advancement and a formal undergraduate qualification that will eventually lead to the awarding of degrees.
Learners who successfully complete the Level 6 Diploma in Accounting and Business qualification have a variety of academic progressions to relevant Level 7 options available to them. Learners who complete the Ofqual-approved Level 6 Diploma in Accounting and Business qualification are eligible for direct entry into appropriate Master’s degree programmes. Additionally, it will create a wide range of career prospects, including middle management positions in private or public organisations managing the organisation’s finances, investments, and risks, as well as audit and assurance functions or research.

I have over 15 years’ experience in teaching and training. I have worked in education for 34 years, in various guises. I managed a busy nursery for 12 years before branching out into Assessment and Quality Assurance, more than 20 years ago. My practice has developed alongside the ever-evolving training and apprenticeship sector, and I have worked in many different settings, including colleges, private training agencies and a foster care agency. I also work part time as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for a local charity that supports higher level education for young people with Special Educational and/or behavioural needs and as a tutor for a bespoke programme for one-to-one support. I really enjoy supporting learners of varying abilities and experience to achieve their best and to become qualified in their chosen field.
