Verify the QualificationThe OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Business Management is specifically designed to provide learners with an excellent foundation for building a professional career in any organisation. The Level 6 Diploma in Business Management qualification ensures that students develop their ability to act as an “independent thinker”, are confident enough to own/run a business, are enriched with detailed knowledge of business management, and are equipped with the skills needed to accept rapid change. The qualification content focuses on operations management, strategic human resource management, leadership and people management, financial decision-making, sustainable business practices, and the business research skills needed at a managerial level.
This course is ideal for those learners who want to start their own business or are planning to start a relevant managerial role in an organisation. Successful completion of the course will enable the student to progress further in their career and/or proceed to higher levels of study.
The qualification is designed to be completed over one academic year of full-time study. However, we accommodate for completely flexible delivery, so that students can schedule their learning around other commitments such as work or family. The qualification is delivered online through our Virtual Learning Environment.
All units within this qualification are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation.Learners are reasonably expected to spend a minimum of ten weeks completing the listed guided learning hours of the qualification after registering with OTHM.The qualifications are criterion-referenced, based on achieving all the specified learning outcomes. Learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Successful completion of this Level 6 course enables learners to get direct entry into OTHM Level 7 Diplomas, including the Level 7 Diploma in Business Management. As this Diploma is regulated and approved by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulations), learners who pass this qualification are also eligible for admission into relevant Master’s degree programs.
