The NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business: Finance aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the foundations of business, and the course also details how accounts are prepared for different business types, details of costs and revenues, and professional ethics in finance. The course units are designed to ensure that learners gain the core attributes needed by employers in business settings. This Level 3 business course will focus on providing an understanding of the business environment, offer an in-depth study of technical skills for business, and provide opportunities to acquire technical and practical skills. The Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business: Finance is accredited by UK OFQUAL which is delivered 100% online and let learners earn UCAS points.
This L3 Diploma in Finance course is designed to be completed over one year of full-time study. However, we provide our learners with flexible online study, meaning that our learners choose their own timeframe for completion. We have seen learners complete the course in as little as 4 months of full-time study. The qualification is delivered through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). All units within this NCFE L3 online course are internally verified by our qualified internal assessors and externally verified by NCFE. This course is criterion-referenced, based on specific learning outcomes to polish your business and finance skills. Each unit is graded using the following structure; Not Yet Achieved, Pass, Merit, and Distinction.
Successful completion of this Level 3 Business course enables the learners to progress onto Level 4 Business Courses, such as the OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Business Management or the OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business, and generally onto other Level 4 Finance or Accounting related qualifications. As this business Diploma is regulated and approved by OFQUAL (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulations), the learner will get the opportunity to progress to higher levels of study at UK University or FE colleges. Completion will also give learners UCAS points, depending on your grade. Learners get 24 for a pass, 48 for merit, 72 for a distinction, and 84 for a distinction*. Â

For entry into this course, students must meet the following criteria:
• NCFE Level 3 Diplomas can be offered to students aged 16 and above. We do not specify learning requirements for this qualification. However, students may find it useful if they have already achieved a Level 2 qualification.
• We ensure that students admitted to the program have the capability to undertake the assessment and learning criteria.
• This course is offered in English only.
Learners are expected to have English language proficiency of CEFR Level B2, this can be met in any one the following ways:
1. Being a native English language speaker
2. Having achieved an IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
3. Having had your last two years of schooling in English
4. Passing our online English language test
Awarding body fee of £156 is payable by the learner to the awarding organisation within 14 days of starting the course. This will be collected from the learner and passed on to the awarding organisation for registration and certification purposes. The final certification you get is the same, regardless of your route. There are no strict deadlines for submitting individual coursework, allowing you room and flexibility to pace your studies; the only deadline is the overall course duration based on the option you selected above.

I have over 15 years’ experience in teaching and training. I have worked in education for 34 years, in various guises. I managed a busy nursery for 12 years before branching out into Assessment and Quality Assurance, more than 20 years ago. My practice has developed alongside the ever-evolving training and apprenticeship sector, and I have worked in many different settings, including colleges, private training agencies and a foster care agency. I also work part time as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for a local charity that supports higher level education for young people with Special Educational and/or behavioural needs and as a tutor for a bespoke programme for one-to-one support. I really enjoy supporting learners of varying abilities and experience to achieve their best and to become qualified in their chosen field.
