Overview

The Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) is a UK OFQUAL accredited 100% online, competency-based Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification. It is suitable for all support staff roles in the school. The Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools course helps learners understand their skills when interacting directly with children and young people in the school setting. This involves learning about the development of children and young people, safeguarding their well-being, communication and professional relationship. It is ideal for learners employed in senior positions who provide assistance with learners’ growth and development in the field of education.

Scope of this Qualification

This Level 3 Certificate is for those who wish to become a Teaching Assistant or those working in primary, secondary or special schools as Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEN Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors, Intervention and Pastoral Support Assistants, or in any other Early Years setting etc.

Duration and Delivery

This Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is designed to be completed online at the pace that suits you the best. This Level 3 course can be completed in as little as 4 weeks or up to 9 months for you to become a qualified teaching assistant. You have a great opportunity of fast-track completion earlier at the pace and time of your choice. The OFQUAL regulated Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3 qualification is delivered through our virtual learning environment (VLE). Our online tutor support is there to facilitate you to achieve your success rate accordingly.

Assessment and Verification

All units within this OFQUAL regulated Level 3 qualification are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. The assessment takes the form of written assignments, detailed guidance for which will be provided by the tutor, and witness testimony signed by your supervisor at your work place. You will receive tutor support once you are enrolled on our online VLE to assist you in reaching your goals.

Practical Requirements

This course is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments in addition to practical work, which is assessed in the workplace. So, a work placement is required to complete the practical tasks, which can be spread over the duration of the course.
